1. What is the story behind your twitch channel name?
My twitch channel is based on Norseman. I really love their story, legends and Gods. I'm also a big fan of Vikings of course.
So my name it's a fictional Norseman name, it is composed by the world Viking (Vik) and Arr that in old norse means Warrior.
2. What is your video game history/background and all time favourite game?
This is a really long story. I got into video games when i was 10, playing everything that i could on my playstation 1. I remember games like Spyro, Crash, Medievil, Driver, Tomb Raider, and some more that made me waste entire day playing them! Then my dad bought a PC and i so i started playing Age of Empire I was in love with games like that and played so much of them. But not having a good internet i was always playing on console, playstation 2 this time. And this is where i got the best gaming experiences. Kingdom Hearts.
This game for me was and is The Game. I loved everything about this one, story, characters, background stories, music, combat system, everything! And actually this is the only game that made me cry and make me cry everytime that i play it again because it touched my heart.
Maybe someone can think that a game talking about Disney characters it's meant to be only for kids. They never been so wrong. This game is for all ages, he touch so many aspects of our life that everyone of us can take advantage at every stage of our lives! So if you have never played it. Just do it!
And never regret it. So hyped to see Kingdom Hearts 3!
To continue my story, well, when i first got some good internet connection i just got in some browser game and end up in some early mmorpg like Metin2 and World of Warcraft that i have played for like 6-7 years without pause counting. Played also a lot of FPS games, like Warrock (oh my old memories here ahah) and almost all of Call of Duty games. And then now growing up, I ended up to don't have so much time to play, in fact i do it only when i'm streaming, but i always enjoy challenging games like Dark Souls and fast battle royale games like Fortnite. And the best thing that i can say about video games is that i made so many good friends that also after years i play with and enjoy talking with.
3. What/who inspired you to start streaming?
When i play video games, also if i'm playing completely alone with anybody in the room, i just enjoy talking about what i'm doing, thinking and planning to do next.
It's something that i found stupid to do sometimes, because i was alone, but i was enjoying doing it! Then i started to know twitch, and as a viewer, I lost so much time watching good and famous streamers playing some of my favourite videogames and then i started to think that maybe I could no longer talking alone in my room but do it with someone else, so i could enjoy myself and maybe make someone else enjoy watching me playing.
4. When did you start streaming?
I first started streaming in my native language, i was having a really good time but i made some mistakes (like be inconsistent) and lost so much work and just got demoralized.
So now after an year i'm starting this journey again with main objective to enjoy doing it hoping to create a good community to have fun with.
5. How did you find the first few weeks/months of streaming? (any funny stories/mistakes/highlights?)
I'm really excited everytime i get home to stream, and really love when someone come to hang around in my chat so we can talk about everything from games, to tv shows and everything that come to my mind. I just love to talk with other people, try to know them better and try to be make them laugh watching me.
The best moment in my first week of streaming was a Raid that got me to have up to 14 people watching me and talking in chat. That was awesome, I got so much energy from this support and now i think that i can reach my goals i need just to have patience and continue to have fun.
6. How did you grow your stream? How did you network?
I'm trying to grow my channel with the help of my girlfriend, that always support me as i'm supporting here with his passions. I'm always networking with other streamers, hang out in small channels, chat, try to give some good advice, play together, join community.
I just love to talk and help people making their experiences better. Support each other is the key.
7. What has been your proudest moment while streaming?
It's a bit redundant but my proudest moment in streaming was when one of the community of small streamers where i'm an active supporter raided me while I was live and this made me so happy, granted me so much energy and self esteem.
8. How did you find the technical side of streaming? Setting up your stream, etc?
Setting my stream wasn't really hard for me. I'm a programmer, so i'm used to this kind of things and there are also a lot of good guide on youtube or reddit on how to setup OBS and other software for streaming.
9. What do you enjoy most about your streaming career
I'm not going to call it a career. This isn't because I don't want it to be, my dreams are so big but before i can call it a career i need to improve myself, get a community following me and support other streamers the best that i can.
What i'm enjoying in my time doing stream is the possibility to interact with new people, make new friends while playing my favourite games.
10. What don't you enjoy so much about streaming?
Can I say nothing? I just enjoy being this weird crazy Viking playing video games talking alone about is questionable tactical decisions.
11. What are you short term and long term goals for your stream?
Short term goals is to become an affiliate, i'm so close to it that i can feel it! My long term, or if i may, my DREAMS are to become a professional streamer, with a good and mature community to play and have fun with but also open to mature discussions.
I hope to bring my show worldwide showing to as much people that i can how i'm enjoying video games and try to bring something newer and different every time! And of course i will never forget from where i started so my support will always be here for those who need it!
12. What advice would you give anyone looking to start streaming?
Program your streaming. Create a schedule and stick with it! Don't stream if you are thinking about this as a work, don't stream if you think only about how much money you can make. Stream because you are actually having fun. Make friends.
If you want support first try to help other streamers occasionally they will help you too, just be kind with everyone, don't ever get demoralized by trolls and bad people, just get rid of them and go on, because if you are having fun means that you are doing GREAT!
13. Finally, what other streamers do you enjoy watching?
I enjoy watch some big streamer like Ninja and Myth, they are great player and funny so we need to learn so much from them. And i also have so much small streamers that i like to watch and hope that soon or later they will get the audience that they deserve!
